WINDOWS XP -

PC AUTHORITY magazine says Microsoft will be ceasing shipping XP Home and Professional from 1st July, 2008 for all OEM builders (computer manufacturers). Supplies at shops will stop approximately July 2009.

If this is true then shortly those buying Vista Business will not be getting a rollback disk for XP.You will then have to buy a Windows XP License. Note there are problems installing XP some manufacturers eg HP are not listing XP drivers on the web sites. You will have to contact them for link details to drivers.

Check your Mobile phone's serial number by pressing the following sequence of keys on your phone:

star - hash - zero - six - hash '(*#06#)'. Displays a 15-digit code unique to your handset.Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. Should your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the Sim card.Pass this onto your friends

31 JUNE, 2006 - MOBILE PHONE SCAM

This happened to me and it cost me $100.Got a missed call from a 1900 number. Rang them back but got a message service. Then I started getting text messages (Soul type theme).

Contact your mobile phone provider and give then the 1900 phone number and get them to block the number immediately.

Every text message is costing you $10 plus and you only find out when you get your bill.
